Find all the information you need to get started here.No suitable car on hand? You can also learn to drive and even take your driving test in a Cambio shared-use car. You must have had at least 6 hours of driving lessons to use it. Have you had 20 hours of driving lessons and received your certificate of competence? Then you can also just rent the car.
You register via Cambio and pay a one-off set-up fee of €35 and a deposit of €250. Whenever you use the shared-use car between 7 am and 11 pm, you pay an hourly rate of €16.50.
Attention: Always drive the shared-use car back to the original location after your practice run. If the car remains reserved in your name at night, you also pay for this duration. Between 11pm and 7am, you even pay a night rate of €50 per hour. So always bring the car to the original location and avoid high and unnecessary bills.

You can register by filling in the registration form and attaching the necessary documents. Cambio will then contact you to complete your registration and provide you with all further practical information.

You can! Be sure to reserve the car in time and send an email to cambio@vlaanderen.be stating your customer number, the reserved car and the test date. That way, Cambio’s technicians can do an extra check to make sure it is completely test-ready.
Please note: to be on the safe side, provide your own L-sign and an extra rear-view mirror. You can also buy these in our online shop.

To complete your registration, you need to upload 3 files:
• Copy of your identity card
• Copy of your provisional driving licence (18M or 36M)
• Certificate of competence if you took 20h driving lessons
How much does it cost to use a shared-use car?
The car costs €16.50 per hour when used between 7 am and 11 pm. This includes fuel, insurance, breakdown assistance, maintenance, etc. Upon registration, you pay a one-off entry fee of €35 and a €250 finance charge (deposit), which is refunded afterwards. Each month, you will receive a statement of your driven hours payable via direct debit. This also makes you a member of Cambio and, once you have your final driving licence, you can continue to enjoy Cambio’s shared-use cars.

What type of car will I be driving?
What happens in case of damage?
The cars are omnium insured. If you yourself are at fault in an accident, the excess is as much as €1,000. Cambio also informs you of the procedure to follow after an accident.
